Magical Girl Raising Project (Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku) is a wildly popular social network game that allows a 1 in 10 000 chance for its players to become real magical girls, regardless of gender. Those who are chosen must then gather "magical candy" by helping people in order to rank at the top. While some see this as a chance to genuinely do good, the structure of the game is such that anyone can become a magical girl provided they "have the appropriate motivation." Soon, the players begin to discover that this motivation may be good or bad, and that when push comes to shove the ideal of a pure-hearted, all-loving magical girl gets thrown out the window as the darkness of the human heart begins to dominate the game.
